Sharon Osbourne tests positive for COVID-19 | Ents & Arts News
Sharon Osbourne says she has tested positive for coronavirus and is now recovering after a brief stay in hospital.
The former X Factor judge, 68, is taking time away from US chat show The Talk – a daytime programme similar to the UK’s Loose Women – in order to recover.
She said she was also isolating away from her husband of nearly 40 years, rock star Ozzy Osbourne, following the COVID-19 diagnosis.
At 72-years-old, Ozzy, who revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease last year, is considered to be in the “vulnerable” category.
Sharon told her 2.3m followers on Twitter: “I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while “The Talk” is on scheduled hiatus.
“Everyone please stay safe and healthy.”
Sharon is the second of host from The Talk to contract the virus, after presenter and dancer Carrie Ann Inaba announced she had tested positive just a few days ago.
Inaba, 52, said she was “resting and taking care of myself” following the diagnosis.
The show is filmed in Los Angeles County, California, where the Osbournes live.
