A car belonging to a grandmother of one of the XXXTentacion murder suspects has revealed crucial evidence in the case, according to US reports.
Police reportedly searched a Cadillac that was owned by Michael Boatwright’s gran and discovered two masks.
TMZ reports that the dark coloured masks match the description of the ones that were allegedly bought by suspect Dedrick Williams before XXXTentacion – real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy – was fatally shot on June 18.
According to the website, cops also found .22 caliber ammunition, which is said to be the same brand name and same type of casings found at the murder scene in Florida.
Police also looked through Boatwright’s phone and allegedly found a search for XXXTentacion’s name and “accessory to murder”.
It comes just days after the fourth and final suspect in the murder was arrested.
Police in Florida confirmed Trayvon Newsome, 20, was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon after he surrendered at his lawyer’s office in Fort Lauderdale.
He was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder and robbery with a deadly weapon.
Newsome’s arrest came exactly two weeks after another suspect, Robert Allen of Fort Lauderdale, was arrested at his sister’s house in southeast Georgia.
XXXTentacion was murdered for a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 (£38,000), according to court documents.
The rapper had just left the Riva Motorsports store in Florida and put the bag packed full of $100 notes into his BMW when he was gunned down, police say.
Dedrick Williams, 22, was the first to be charged before Boatwright, 22 was also charged with first degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery.
